While Tranquil Desert Counseling does not bill your insurance directly I can provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance. Please see the steps outlined below to learn more about using your out-of-network benefits.

• After scheduling your first appointment contact your insurance carrier to confirm use of out-of-network benefits, deductible amount, and copay.

  • I am more than happy to help you verify these questions with your insurance carrier if that is helpful for you.

• Tranquil Desert Counseling will bill you for the full session fee at the time of your appointment and provide you with what insurance calls a superbill.

  • A superbill is a detailed invoice which contains all of the information required for you to submit the out-of-network invoice to your insurance carrier using your insurance plan portal.

  • I would be happy to help you navigate the process to submit these the first few times if you are new to using your out-of-network benefits.

• Any reimbursement your insurance plan approves goes directly back to you through the method you set up with your insurance carrier.
